Description
Meet Gimme — a young gemsbok who doesn’t quite fit in with the rest of the herd in the vast, sunny Kalahari. With straight, elegant horns that look a little different and a heart full of wonder, he sets off on a brave quest to discover where he truly belongs.
GIMME by Jennifer Macdonald tells the heartwarming story of a young cow who is separated from his family and friends. Alone on a Texas ranch, Gimme struggles to make friends because his large size and long horns frighten the other cows. Despite feeling rejected, he remains kind and determined. When he notices a dangerous black animal approaching the herd, Gimme bravely protects the cows by charging at the predator.
Although they initially ignore him, the cows eventually recognize his courage and kindness. In the end, Gimme meets Mooley, who thanks him and becomes his friend. The story celebrates friendship, courage, kindness, and accepting what makes us different.
